Flags of Our Fathers is a book about the Iwo Jima flagrasing, which all six of the flagraisers are from Easy Company. Is there anyone who has stories who perhaps knew anything about Jack "Doc" Bradley, Harlon Block, Franklin Sousley, Ira Hayes, Rene Gagnon, or (especailly) Mike Strank. Reading that book I instantly became attached to every one of those boys and if anyone knows or heard stories or has anything to do with at anyone of them, please tell me. Thanks. Ali

Hi Ali-

This link may be of interest to you. Although the men were from an Easy company, they were from the 28th Marine Regiment, rather than from Easy Company of the 506thPIR.
