I am #176
I hope this works!!
Boomtown is a great show & it should be kept on the schedule for a long, long, long, long, long, long time.

Boomtown is only just about to start airing in Australia!!!

Janine,
Watch the show - it is a great show not just because 2 of the BOB boys are in it(Donnie Wahlberg & Neal McDonough)
It is a show that you just can't get enough of - there are so many twists & turns and you are on the edge of your seat!!
They might cancel it here in the states but hopefully the petition & the postcards might help the network change their minds.
Melissa
*fingers crossed*

Trust me you don't have to persuade me at all. I'm alread getting ready to watch it: seating position, lighting, food, everything is all set! Now I just have to wait another two weeks or so before it actually airs!!!

Lucky you! Cause it still isn't airing here

Where are you from Gold?

Er...i believe it's in my profile though you might have forgotten about it
Philippines Janine. We're missing a lot of shows here Janine, especially shows with the BoB guys. How much i would love to watch Forsyte Saga, The Agency, Boomtown and all of those shows where the guys are at
gold

Well in Australia we have to wait just as long as you do
Oh well at least I've seen Forsyte Saga on dvd.

See, you're luckier than i am ;)

you have the forsyte saga on DVD? not fair where did you get it. Are they selling it? Anyway has anyone heard hte latest from BOOMTOWN? It's really a great show i love it. i hear tha thte show Kingpin is only on for three weeks i don't know what they're doing after that, but NBC needs to get it together. i mean BOOMTOWN had the highest rating for a new show this season. isn't that cause enough to keep it? Anyway
have a great day

We need to boycott "Kingpin"
If you watch it, then they will cancel "Boomtown"
So PLEASE don't watch it "Kingpin"!!

Hey, the latest episode of Boomtown, not only had Wahlberg, and McDonough, but also the guy who played Luz, and the guy who played Guarnere! Cool!

Just saw "The Practice" last night on ABC. Guess who guest starred? Matthew Settle AKA Capt. Speirs!
Great Boomtown episode last Sunday. Very smart. What did you think of the ending, Mark?

Boomtown is an excellent, excellent show! The networks would be stupid to cancell it. It has only jsut started showing over here in Australia, and from what i can teel, the reaction has been really good.
It is good to see a smart show, that does not treat it's audience like idiots. Plus it is very entertaining...and has two BOB boys in it, which is a bonus!!!!

Heard there was a spoiler and that FJH was the rat??
gold

Don't want to spoil it for everyone, read on if you want to know the truth....................... FJH shows us his great acting ability's last night on "Boomtown", he played "the rat" wonderfully!!! I was upset to see that he is killed in the end, I so wanted him to stay on the show. There is always still hope that Rick's character might stay on "Boomtown"!!
Melissa

When they hinted that Rick's character was the rat, I was almost ready to throw the remote at the TV. But I had an inkling all along that it was FJH. His partner kept mentioning his name before he died.
I hope Rick stays on the show. It's a great show. I now look forward to Sunday night TV (well, apart from The Simpsons anyway).
Melissa, what did you think of how they ended the episode. I didn't expect FJH to get killed off like that. I was hoping he'd stay on the show, too.
Gold, how are things in the Philippines. Everything okay amdist the pneumonia bug scare? Stay well...

BTW, did you guys know that Matthew Settle was in "The Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood", too? He played Jack, the love of Ashley Judd's character.
Hope everyone's well.
Maybe we should get together soon. It'll be interesting to put faces to the names.

Hello, Celeste. Yeah, the ending was pretty bad for FJH. There were rumors circulating around the "Boomtown" groups that the rat was going to die so when I realized it was FJH, I knew he was not going to make it. I hope that Rick's character does become a regular on the show, that would be great news. Also, "Boomtown" won in the ratings this past week, that's some good news too - there is a chance that the show will be picked up for next season.
I saw Matthew on "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" (it's a good book, check it out) - he is such a cutie!!

Hi Melissa!
Did you think the book was better than the movie?

Hi Celeste,
I liked the book for different reasons than the series, the books tells you more about the men. It's more descriptive of the men & gives more insight to what happened to them afterward.
I really liked the movie because they showed you what the war did to the men & the relationships that were made. I wish that they could have made another 10 hour series.
Both are tributes to the men of easy company.
The book & series are reminders of what happen to the men & they will never be forgotten.

The book is definitely on my list!
