Razorfish and HBO Launch Band of Brothers Web Site
Site is a companion piece to HBO's 10-part miniseries based on the Stephen E. Ambrose best-seller
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 8, 2001--Razorfish, Inc. (NASDAQ: RAZF), the global digital solutions provider, and the Home Box Office, today announced the launch of phase I of its Band of Brothers Web site at www.HBO.com.

Built around HBO's highly anticipated 10-part miniseries about a World War II Army unit, the site has been created as a companion to the program.

Intended as a destination on the Internet that will both educate and inform people about World War II, the Band of Brothers site will include original webisodes, deep historical content and first-hand stories and memories of the war years.

Six webisodes will roll out this month and continue until the launch of the miniseries in September. The webisodes will provide historical overviews of the war, starting with the Battle of Britain in 1941 and ending with the D-Day invasion at Normandy in 1944, where the Band of Brothers miniseries begins. Each webisode will feature an interactive sidebar offering additional information about the topic.

The site is also creating a living memorial in honor of those who served where veterans, friends and families can send in their own stories and recollections about World War II. The living memorial will launch with stories from members of Easy Company, 506th Regiment of the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army, the unit depicted in the miniseries. Submitted stories will be enhanced with related information available on the Web site, e.g., a paratrooper's story will include interactive content demonstrating typical paratrooper gear. As the living memorial expands, it will become more prominent on the site with visitors able to search for particular stories by name or geographic location. In addition, users will be able to obtain information about their city or state's involvement in the war effort. Phases II and III of the Band of Brothers Web site will roll out in late summer and early September and will feature more extensive coverage on the war.

The debut of Band of Brothers has been set for Sunday, September 9 at 9:00 p.m. ET, and will run for ten weeks. The miniseries recounts the achievements of Easy Company, the elite rifle company which parachuted into France early on D-Day morning. The miniseries is executive produced by Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg.

The Band of Brothers site was built and designed by Razorfish. Home Box Office is the premium television programming division of AOL Time Warner Company, providing two 24-hour premium television services, HBO and Cinemax. Together, both networks reach nearly 37 million subscribers in the United States via cable and satellite delivery. Home Box Office's international joint ventures bring HBO branded services to more than 50 countries around the globe.
