dear katie,
are you in any relation to Babe? how did you get these pictures?

No relation. The photo is from People Magazine. Babe was in hospital when it was taken and Robin Laing visited him. There's also a great photo of Bill Guarnere and Frank John Hughes in the same mag.

I keep meaning to write this....I wonder how many people knew Robin Laing is a British actor - from Scotland!!!! - I didn't realise 'till the other day!!!
Jane

really...see i didn't know that either!

I had read that he was scottish in People magazine. June, July? I also saw "Beautiful Creatures" which he has a small role.

The fact that we couldn't tell what nationality the actors were is testement to how incredibly, fantastically brilliant they were. With the exception of damien lewis and a few others who i have seen on british tv, i thought they were all american! They were all so believable. I was convinced that shane taylor was american and i was certain that robin laing was. They had me convinced.

Does anyone know if there are any Robin Laing fan sites? I've looked, but I can't find any

Thanks Jane!! You're awesome

I wouldn't in million years have guessed that Robin Laing is from Scottland. I was so very touched by his performance in BOB(that accent just crack me up), especially the scene when Babe tried to rescue John Julian in the midst of unrelenting fire. Thank you Robin.

I saw Robin a few nights ago in the Greek classic play Medea at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. He plays the tutor of Medea's ill-fated children. It's not a large role but he acquits himself well. The actors are using their native accents so Robin's Scottish lilt is very much to the fore. It's a brilliant production with the highly respected Irish actress Fiona Shaw as Medea.

Ah...glad to see another one of the guys is busy with his career.
Thanks for sharing katie

There's this movie, Borstal Boy, that Robin Laing is in (along with Mark Huberman, who played Les Hashey), and he is so great in it. I saw the movie before I saw Band of Brothers, and I have to say that I'm extremely impressed by how well he hid his Scottish accent (it's really thick!). He's also great at playing his part (Jock). Very funny, and dramatic when he needs to be.
