Excellent site! As a major Jamie Bamber fan, I was disappointed to see he was one of the underused actors in BOB. The GI he portrayed, Lt. Jack Foley, was very instrumental in regard to Easy Company once he joined in Holland. His name is frequently mentioned in Dr. Ambrose?s book. In particular, the scene I was hoping to see is mentioned on page 235 [BOB, paperback]. It involves Cobb and Wiseman?s drunken episode. Foley orders Cobb?s arrest, then sees to his court martial. After Foley hands Col. Sink the court martial papers, Sink tells him, ?Foley, you could have saved us all a lot of trouble. You should have shot him.?

Irene,
I have to give credit to Liz, Ovredge, who does a fantastic Damian Lewis site. I was griping in a chat that my screen caps of Jack/Jamie were terrible. Liz kindly offered to do these for me.
You know, i haven't put up all the J/J caps yet. But thanks, glad you like em.
I'm sure you've seen my posts that Capt. Foley will be at the Emmy Awards? I wish Jamie could be there. I know Richard Speight Jr. will be there with the Muck family and there will be several other actors with the Easy families they got to know.
Hopefully, the Emmys will be rebroadcast in UK and Jamie catches this. I do believe he knows BOB is up for several nominations.

Irene,
I knew Lamar would…he’s really great! Lemme know when you get it!
Did you see Ross posted to Rossmccallgroup yesterday [8/28/02]? It as just a hello…I couldn’t help but notice he did not answer my question about whether he will be at the Emmys or not. We will have to tune in and see…I’m going to post an announcement to chat…if you can join in that would be great…however, with the time differences this will work out to early Monday morn for you. It’s a thought.

For some time now I've been watching the show called Hornblower aka Horatio Hornblower. It wasn't until recently that I realised that the guy who plays Archie Kennedy is indeed the one and only Jamie Bamber.
| |
Yes, Janine, that's Jamie alright, and unfortunately Archie is written out of the series, which was a terrible blow to his fans. Jamie has a new project: he is going to star in the remake of Battlestar Galactica (he plays Apollo) which starts shooting late March. It's a US production, which makes his starving US fans delirious with joy! And he won't get written off or killed in this one because he stars!

Yay to that!
