For our members & fans in Asia, and for those of you able to receive HBO Asia, the Band of Brothers mini-series will be re-aired in a 2 night marathon (5 episodes each night) beginning at 900PM APT on March 14th & 15th, 2002.

For all US based fans of the mini-series - that includes both English & Spanish speaking fans - I've finally been able to confirm that HBO will indeed be re-airing Band of Brothers on Monday nights this April 2002!

They will initially air 2 episodes (back-to-back) on Monday April 8th, with single episodes airing each following week. Right now, HBO has only the April schedule posted on their site but we can expect the May schedule to coincide. The air-times are all over the map so, fair warning, here's the current HBO April Schedule (always subject to change):

MON 08 APR 02 - Episodes 01 & 02
- HBO East, 1000PM
- HBO Latino East, 1200AM
- HBO West, 100AM

MON 15 APR 02 - Episode 03: CARENTAN
- HBO East, 1000PM

On the HBO website, they have Band of Brothers scheduled for Tuesday nights at 9, starting September 3rd. Unfortunately, they're showing it on "HBO Signature", which is one of the extra HBO channels. So you may or may not be able to see it, depending on which HBO channels you have.

Yes Ebeth, that is correct from what i can gather HBO has limited the re-airing of BOB this Sept 3, 2002 to HBO Signature. I find this to be a sneaky way to get peeps to lay out more money in order to get a HBO premium package rather than just basic HBO...I did this for a lil while as it was part of the digital cable package. But, to narrow it down to one HBO selection when there are like 10 different HBO's out there is underhanded and a shoddy way to treat HBO customers...this is why so many would rather wait for the DVD than be jerked around by HBO and their local cable companies.

[pardon for rambling, but in my area, the subject of cable service and the fact there is only one service creating a monopoly and forcing customers to go with said service is a very touchy subject...where many people have their own ideas...but usually the consensus is it is wrong...gouging us with outrageous service fees should be a crime! Shame on HBO!

Hi Jan-

I looked again at the HBO website, and it only says that the series will be on the HBO Signature Channel. I don't know if that's available overseas or not. I would guess the programming is different for the various regions, so maybe if the Signature channel is unavailable there, they'll replay it on the regular HBO instead. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

JD, I just received my monthly schedule guide from HBOasia and looked for BoB, unfortunately, it's not in the list. I guess we're not as lucky as they are out there. However, I have a suggestion, we can always go to www.hboasia.com and request for BoB. I actually requested it before they had the marathon here, and i guess that helped a bit. What say you to this huh? ;)
Look at us, we got the tapes, we got the book but we still look forward to seeing it on tv once more. Are we BoB nuts they ask? I don't think so? (hehe)

Can’t speak for all BOB fans in Philippines, but I know some like you are definitely INSATIABLE fans. You go, girl And making your requests known to HBO is a good idea. If you can convince others to join in, all the better.

I have a question: Do you know if BOB aired in other Asian countries, besides PH. It appears Easycompanygroup has members in Japan…I’m just curious as to how far a reach BOB and HBO has. It amazes me…posters are appearing from South Africa, Brazil…I’ve been informed BOB will air in Australia starting next month (about frigging time, too). Sorry, but I have friend who has been waiting for this.

Hey guys! I don’t know if this info is significant but I just thought I’d let you know that BoB is re-airing in my country (Philippines) this coming October 18 on EMTV. (Not even sure if that channel is available all over the country.) Believe it or not, it was Mom who saw it advertised on that channel when she was flicking on the remote control! Can you believe my mom beat me to it??? She quickly yelled for me and my brother and I frantically ran out of my room when I heard her say “…Band of Brothers…” I was jumping up and down the living room and naming the faces that were flashed on the screen and…quoting!! ;)
And of course, it will also be re-aired on HBOasia this coming November .
I heard BoB is going to be aired in Canada too? Or at least in Toronto.
I know I’ve got the tapes and I’ve watched the series more than 20 times but I’m still looking forward to watching it on TV! I don’t know why but the excitement is still there! And for sure, I’m going to tell as much people as I can to watch out for it. It’s up to them if they’ll become as nut as I am about BoB (is that possible?)
Will you guys feel the same excitement if you find out it’s going to be re-aired in your place? Or is it just me? I hope not?

You are one lucky gal!!! I also have the series on tape but I understand how you feel. When HBO finally ran the series again, I was just as excited for it like it was the first time I was watching it. Plus, it gave more people the chance to watch it for the first time if they missed it. The more people who are aware of what these courageous & extraordinary men did for our country the better.
