Hi guys,
Firstly, I'd like to say a big hello to you all. I am a new member on here. I am a WWII Re-Enactor in the UK. We portray Dog Company, 506th PIR. My question is this: Does anybody know of any veterans from Dog or Easy who will be attending the 60th anniversary celebrations in Normandy next June? The group I am in is quite small at present, and really dedicate ourselves to portraying these guys with the highest respect and authenticity as possible to pass on to others. We would very much like to meet with veterans of the 506th, just to say hello and to share in some experiences, and generally to say thank you. So if anyone here knows of veterans going over, preferably Dog or Easy, as these are both 2nd Battallion, but anyone from the 2/506th as we would love to greet them. Or knows of who I can write to to ask. I understand that it would be a traumatic time to meet them aswell, as it will be in a place filled with memories, so we would consider it a great honour.

I am not sure but I think since it is the 60th year mark of D-Day it could be a large turn out and most if not all remaining veterans may be there. I am not sure. There may be information at the offical website for Normandy but I am not positive. Hope this helped.
