101st Airborne Division Association, MI Chapter Reunion
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Michigan Chapter in Frankenmuth

The Michigan Chapter of the 101st Airborne Division Association announces its Spring Reunion. The gathering will be held at Zehnder’s Bavarian Haus Motel in Frankenmuth, MI on May the 9th and the 10th. A block of rooms has been set aside for the low price of $60 plus tax. Call 800-863-7999 by April 8th and identify yourself as 101st to get this special rate.
Plans are to have the informal get-together dinner Friday from 6 till 9 at the Dead Creek Saloon (Friday is Prime Rib night). Saturday’s dinner will be held in the Americana Room at the famous Zendher’s Restaurant from 5pm until 8pm. Dinner will be the traditional all-you-can-eat family style chicken dinner with Weiner Schnitzel as the second entrée. Cost for this wonderful repast is only $25/person. Please send your reservation check to Joe Beyrle, II by April the 9th.
Planned activities call for most of the Michigan Chapter’s authors (George Koskimaki, Don Burgett, Mark Bando, Charles Day and Gerald Stesiak) to be in attendance with copies of their books for sale and autograph. We will have a very special speaker for the Saturday night dinner: LTC (Retired) Michael Knutson, Medical Corps, 82nd Airborne and past State Chaplain for the DAV. Several special awards will be made at the dinner also. At least two reenactors (WWII & Viet Nam) will be in attendance. Add all this to the wonderful ambiance of Frankenmuth in the spring, with the new River Place, Bronner’s Christmas Wonderland, Michigan’s Own Military Museum and the largest outlet mall in Michigan, this promises to be a reunion to remember.

Thank-you to Bob Likam (326 Eng/WWII) for all his hard work in setting up this reunion!
We look forward to seeing you all. This function is open to anyone who served with the division, has an interest in or was related to a member. All are welcome and urged to attend. If you have any questions, please contact:
