The Easy Company patch was designed by Station #3 firefighters and Daren Murray, a Lewisville, TX firefighter and professional artist. The patch represents our Texas roots with the Longhorn, the Quint at Station #3 with the ladder and our pride of patriotism with waving flags.
The men of the original "Easy Company" represent the spirit of personal sacrifice including death for the assurance of a greater cause - the citizens of America. We uniformly share the commitment to our country and brotherhood that will never be broken. And for these reasons, Station #3 has chosen to immortalize the slogan "Easy Company".

The tradition is that when a station gets a new engine, it is "pushed" back into the bay. This comes from the time when engines were pulled by horses. After a fire, the town would come out to help the firemen pushed the engine back into the station, ready for the next call.

What a great tribute! I'm sure the men of Easy Company are flattered that these Firefighters dedicated a station in their honor. Looks like everyone had a great time, and it was nice to see that Easy was able to be represented at the opening.
